Protecting your Proclamation document
Since the Food Security Proclamation become a lawful document once signed, its a good idea to keep it safe. Here are a few suggestions for how you can store your Proclamation once signed;
- Place your signed FSP in a clear protective pouch
- Laminate your FSP, file it with other legal documents you might have, or stick it on your wall
- Frame your FSP and hang it or stand it upright on a table or bookshelf

Displaying your Proclamation
The protection of our human right to food and how we source it, is so important that the Food Security Proclamation was written to uphold this right and allow infringements to be publicly challenged. Everyone who adopts the FSP is encouraged to display the lawful document in a prominent location in their home, or business premises. If it helps open discussion about food security or raise awareness amongst the population generally, that's a good thing.
Here are some ideas you might find useful:
- If you have a business, why not display your FSP for all to see. For example, a restaurant might have laminated copy in the kitchen, and a framed copy at front of house and in the bar or lounge area.
- A fruit shop could place it on their shop window as a laminated A4 copy, while a market stall that sells food could fix a laminated copy anywhere in view of customers.

Being a seller of food related produce or products is not required to promote or display your FSP. Any business, person or group that understands the importance of protecting our healthy food sources and supply in Australia, is worthy of registering for the FSP and signing their document.
Small flyers can be printed to help people make their own declaration to support food security after they have seen your FSP on display. They may have had too many questions to answer at the time, so why now tell them where they can get their own!
